What to teach?!

Ok, this is a request to all you readers out there. I am doing some private english lessons. What should i teach (rated PG!)

Here is the student's background. She has great grammer and excellent vocab. She does tend to be a bit long winded; my job is to help her with idioms and other ways native english speakers speak. (rather than text book english)

Any ideas?

Why not comic books? Words are short, to the point. The include photos of what is going on, and also reflect American Culture. Have people send you comic books.

isnt the inherent problem with idioms that there is no standard version of them? maybe some contractions might help her long-windedness? maybe alternatives like poetry or comic books(like this other person mentioned)or music lyrics? ask her, maybe sha can help make the decision.
